Shirodhara is perhaps the most widely known Ayurvedic treatment. It is widely used during Panchakarma and in spas all over the world. This deeply calming treatment uses a stream of oil appropriate to the Dosha to send the recipient into a deeply relaxed, meditative state. Shirodhara is indicated for all vitiated Doshas, but is particularly effective for aggravated Vata. Clients will receive a brief (20-minute) Snehana massage to prepare the body to receive this treatment.
