The only reason I tried yoga was because it got such great reviews.
This was word of mouth, son.
Ok, probably also Madonna.
Anyway, I knew I needed to be able to function in the daily world without a) hating myself and everyone around me, b) watching my body physically deteriorate in an office environment, and c) taking every single little failure or mishap seriously or personally (aka STRESS). Yoga has helped me to heal my own brain and that’s neuroscience and that’s why it’s cool.
I researched the spandex pants out of yoga before I decided to try it. The more I learned about it, the more stoked I got about it. And guess what?

It’s part spirituality, part personal development, part fitness routine. It’s as much or as little of any or none of that as you want.
It’s the catalyst to whatever awesome you want to create in this world. It’s a well-stocked toolbox. It’s a complete physical.
I meditate for 10 minutes daily. I do yoga for 20 minutes a day, if I’m lucky.
I pepper in bouldering, rollerblading, and hitting tennis balls against a brick wall for funsies.
I’m currently on hiatus because I am Momming pretty hard right now. It’s weird, but also a LOT of fun.
